The word carnival reminds you of a happy atmosphere all around, of Venice and the thousands of people dressed like centuries ago, or of Rio, Brazil, where millions of people go crazy just for a few days a year. This strain has been designed to bring the carnival into your mind. The entire process of selection and crossing has been made in Spain. This is a cross between a Haze mother and a particular individual mostly sativa as father. Carnival has an extremely high content of thc: the laboratory test on our sample has shown an amazing 23,2%. This is not the only good note, the flowering time is really short for a plant that is 80% sativa.

As a first time grower I bought this strain as seed. Bought 2 seeds only, cloned both plants and now have 12 extremely healthy plants. 2 mother plants now are massive. So many tops it's unreal. Can't give a review on the buds just yet as the plants are still in veg. 6 feet tall in 30 and 45 gallon pots and they are extremely healthy. Haven't had to worry so far about a single thing. I've grown 4 of these so far, encountered 3 phenotypes. They ranged in smell from sweet and tropical, to greasy, oily and citrusy, to piney.Rating
These do not need a very long veg at all. First two and this latest one I did 12/12 straight away from seed and got 6.3oz and 10.4oz. This 4th one is still in progress and will be about 4-6oz.
The 3rd I vegged for 3 weeks and it ended up 5' wide, 5' deep and 7' tall, was 28oz dried/cured and took up every one of my gallon jars.
The first one had ridiculously dense buds, while all the others were pretty average. To put this in perspective, I can fit about 3oz per gallon jar of most varieties, the 1st Carnival all 6.3oz fit in the jar and had 25% room to spare.
This strain seems to be able to take a lot of abuse too. I wish this strain existed when I started growing in the early 90s.

Tastes and smells like Juicy Fruit gum, quite nice actually. The high is pretty strong with no couch lock at all. Can be a little intense for beginners.Rating
