Posted in Ministry of Cannabis | No Comments » A little growing trickWednesday, December 12th, 2007This is a trick that every true breeder in Amsterdam knows, but that is rarely or almost never available on internet. Its purpose is to accellerate the plant methabolism to pass from the vegetative phase to the flowering phase. This result can be simply reached giving the plants 24-36 hours of dark in the moment that you are switching the timer from 18 to 12 hours of light a day. So, if you are, for example givin light from 9.00 am (sunday) till 3.00 am of the following day (monday), you can keep, only once, the lights off till tuesday morning or afternoon. Then go on with a normal 12 hours of light and 12 of dark. This simple trick reduce the flowering period of a few days (this depends by the strain, sometimeyou can save up to a full week of flowering). The plant have more time to develop the buds, and that will result in a bigger yield (10-20%). Really not bad for a simple trick that cost nothing, zero money, zero energy, zero time. You even save a few euro/dollars in the electric bill. What do you want more? Just a little suggestion: don’t do it with plants from seeds that are less than 3 weeks old. Don’t do it with clones that are not perfectly rooted into their medium. The risk in both cases is to get midget plants, and a very insignificant harvest. Posted in Growing tips | No Comments » The Singapore’s drug sceneTuesday, December 11th, 2007Singapore is well know in the world as a fast growing Asian miracle. A little country that in a few decades became an important actor in the international scene, at economical, medical, social and sometimes legal. We says legal because the system of laws, that are the toughest in the world, especially about drugs but not only: if our memory is not failing, you can be imprisoned in SIngapore as turist we you bring into the country bubblegum, yes ladys and gentlemen, not the famous strain of weed, the bubblegum that we buy for 1 euro per package and we chew. With this premises, nobody would expect to find any drug user in the country.Instaed the scene is really active. High-flying foreign bankers and other expatriates use ecstasy and snort cocaine and smoke marijuana. They risk up to 10 years of jail, and a fine up to 20.000 USD. But the real risk is for their suppliers. In Singapore, anyone caught carrying more than 15 grams of heroin, 30 grams of cocaine, 500 grams of cannabis or 250 grams of methamphetamines faces a mandatory death sentence by hanging. Singapore defends its position by saying it needs tough laws to deter drug traffickers. We believe that it’s all another lie. If you care for someone, why would you send him to jail for 10 years, once you have admitted that he has a problem? If you are going to visit Singapore, please take the maximum care and go there clean and stay clean. Now a new research suggest that the main active substance of marijuana, the THC, seems to be able to stop the enzyme acetylcholinesterase (AChE) as well as prevents (AChE) induced amyloid peptide (A) aggregation, the key pathological marker of Alzheimer’s Disease. This study provides a previously unrecognized molecular mechanism through which endo and phyto cannabinoid molecules may directly impact the progression of this debilitating disease. Marijuana in a greek nunnery.Friday, December 7th, 2007A Greek Orthodox nunnery was turned into a marijuana garden by 2 men that are currently hunted by the Greek police. The muns told the a few months ago 2 men introduces themselves into the nunnery, offering to the nuns to take care of their plants and flowers. But instead of curing their garden, the 2 men fulfill it with marijuana plants. “The nuns did not know what they were and assumed they were large decorative plants,” said the chief of the Greek police while his men are completing the cleaning of the garden. Of course none of the nuns has been arrested and the police has launched a hunt to catch the men. Posted in Europe, Society | No Comments » Look who s talkingThursday, December 6th, 2007Three cannabis-flavoured drinks have been removed from sale after a serie of complaints. These 3 drinks, produced by Beveland SA products are the Perigan’s Cannabis-Flavoured Gin, Iganoff Cannabis-Flavoured Vodka and Rodnik’s Cannabis-Flavoured Absinthe. All of them shows a cannabis leaf on the label. The Portman Group, the watchdog of the alcohol industry, has ruled that the drinks breach one of its codes of practice: “Too many young adults these days regard alcohol and illicit drugs as interchangeable, the industry must not contribute to this attitude, but instead distance itself totally from illegal drugs”, says David Poley, chief executive of the Portman Group. Right, let’s go on with this ridiculous farce, cannabis is so banned that a leaf cannot even be shown on a label. The alcohol, the substance that has killed more than evey other substance in history, is perfectly legal. Now is given to the alcohol industry even the power to draw the moral for everybody, and decide wheter or not a cannabis leaf can or cannot be shown. Nice world, our world. Posted in Europe, Cannabis Drinks and Food | No Comments » British DJ held in Dubai for cannabis possessionWednesday, December 5th, 2007Just a few weeks ago we have spoken about Dubai, and now we have to do it again. And again, it’s not a good news. Raymond Bingham, AKA Dj Grooverider was expected to do a gig in a club in Dubai last november 23. Stopped by the douane at his arrival, the cops found a little amount of cannabis and something that is consider over there like pornography. In Dubai, one of the seven emirates that makes UAE (United Arab Emirates) the possession of a small amount (or even traces) of drug lead to a 4 year sentence. If you are a smuggler, you can be sentenced to death. Pornography (the concept includes every nude image) is a big offence, too. In the meantime Dj Grooverider is waiting his process. Dj Grooverider is famous in UK for being the co-host of a drum and bass programme called ‘Fabio and Grooverider’ on BBC Radio 1. Posted in Middle East | No Comments » French gov into the pocket of the cannabis smugglersTuesday, December 4th, 2007French government have decided to study the cannabis “problem” better, and to start in the good way they have decided to do a little calculation about the profit that a cannabis smuggler/seller can make in one year. “Although the average street dealer hardly makes the minimum wage out of selling cannabis, the middlemen get away with an average of 550,000 euros. That’s an annual income similar to that of a managing director in a company of 2,000 workers”. Then they have analysed the market in its complexity: “One in ten boys and one in sixteen girls aged 17 year consider themselves regular smokers. Over half a million French smoke cannabis every day. The total market consists of 1.2 million users, who consume 208 tonnes of cannabis, and spend 832 million euros on it”. Everybody can understand how this number are little compared to the reality. French people are believed the heavier cannabis user in Europe with a population of smokers/users of about 10 million people. However it is even forbidden to speak about cannabis (unless you speak bad about it) and this prohibition is ennforced by the criminal laws. It seems difficult to start a debate about cannabis under such a law. Sad time for a nation that gave us in the past l’Etat de Droit, l’Illuminisme and many other contributes to the European Civilisation. Posted in Politic, Europe, Society | No Comments » |
